Kathmandu, Jan 12: Kathmandu District Court sent Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President and Former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane to police custody on the charges of cooperative fraud and organised crime.
Lamichhane was appeared in Kathmandu District Court today for the investigation of involvement in committing fraud in Swarnalaxmi Cooperative in Kathmandu.
A bench of Kathmandu District Court’s judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari issued an ordered to keep Lamichhane to juducial custody.
He was sent to the judicial custody as hearing could be taken today. Registrar at the Kathmandu District Court Ramu Sharma said, “Statement of Lamichhane was recorded over the issue of funds embezzlement of Swarnalaxmi Cooperatives of Kathmandu.”
