Kathmandu, Apr. 21: Two nurses of central jail, Kathmandu have tested COVID-19 positive in Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT).
Earlier the total number of COVID-19 patients reached 42 in Nepal.
Eleven new cases were confirmed in mosque area of Bhulke, Udayapur, the number reached 42, according to Dr. Bikash Devkota, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
The two nurses have been receiving treatment in isolation at Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku.
Dr. Sagar Rajbhandari, director of Teku Hospital informed that two nurses of central jail had tested COVID-19 positive in RDT.
Their swab samples have been sent to National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) for PCR test.
RDT was carried out in 40 doctors, nurses and paramedics on Monday, where two nurses tested COVID-19 positive.
They have been kept in isolation at Teku Hospital, after they tested positive for the virus in two consecutive RDTs.
