Kathmandu, Aug 27: Two hundred and eighty nine bodies of the victims of the Bhotekoshi flash flood have been recovered so far.
Deputy Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Force, Shilendra Thapa, informed that three bodies in Rusuwa, 12 in Nuwakot, 29 in Dhadhing, 29 in Gorkha, 121 in Chitwan, 16 in Tanahu, 65 in Nawalparasi East, 14 in Nawalparasi West have been recovered so far.
He informed that currently 13 thousand 295 security forces have been deployed for search and rescue operation in the flood-affected sites.
Seven thousand 250 from Nepal Police, 200 from Nepal Army, One thousand 845 from Armed Police Force (APF) have been mobilized in search and rescue operation. Three hundred 51 people are rescued mobilizing sixty nine helicopters, according to the NDRRMA.
Currently, 910 people remain out of the contact. Out of these, 28 from Nepal Police, 44 from Nepal Army, 13 from Armed Police Force, 15 from Custom Office, 4 from Immigration Office, 161 from Rasuwa, one from Nuwakot are missing.
Also, 517 foreign citizens, 127 Nepali Citizens residing in the foreign countries still remain missing in the Bhotekoshi flash flood that occurred on Wednesday.
