142 new cases in 24 hrs, active cases reach 163

Kathmandu, Mar. 31: 142 new cases (RT-PCR and antigen tests combined) of COVID-19 have been confirmed on Friday while four people recovered from the disease.

In 381 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, 44 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Friday. Whereas, 98 positive cases were found in 698 Antigen tests in the last 24 hours.

Currently, there are 163 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation.

So far, 12,020 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Nepal.
